The overwhelming victory of the Amakirk team in the Professional Doubles category at the National Pickleball Club Championship 4/2025, featuring middle-aged athletes originally from office professions, has become a great inspiration for the intellectual community to engage in sports, enhance work efficiency, and improve quality of life under the motto “Physical Fitness for Charisma.”

Held from April 16-20 in Bac Giang, the 2025 National Pickleball Club Championship – Donex Cup was jointly organized by the Vietnam Sports Authority, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province, and DonexGroup Joint Stock Company. Nearly 700 athletes from over 50 Pickleball clubs nationwide participated in this year’s tournament.

The biggest surprise of the tournament was the ascent of the Amakirk team, which brought together players in their middle age, whose backgrounds include leaders of agencies, units, and businesses with high professional positions and academic qualifications, yet all registered to compete in the highest professional category.

Trần Anh Quang – Bronze Medal, Men’s Singles Pro 35+

The Bronze Medal in Men’s Singles Professional 35+ marked the participation of Master of Business Administration (Southern University, Columbia) Trần Anh Quang (currently working at the Operations Center of Noi Bai Cargo Service Company); Mr. Quang also has 10 years of experience teaching in the Aviation sector and holds a Level 1 Pickleball Coach Certification from PPR (USA).

Huỳnh Minh Cường – Công Vinh (Bronze Medal, Men’s Doubles Pro 35+)

The Bronze Medal in Men’s Doubles Professional 35+ went to the pair Trần Công Vinh – Head Coach of Physical Education at CIS International School, and Huỳnh Minh Cường – Master of Public Policy (Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, Fulbright University Vietnam). Despite being their first time pairing up, the two athletes created a cohesive and disciplined performance, reflecting an academic spirit in a high-pressure competitive environment.

Phạm Tuấn Dương – Trần Thị Lệ Hằng (Gold Medal, Mixed Doubles Pro 35+)

The Gold Medal in Mixed Doubles Professional 35+ was claimed by Phạm Tuấn Dương (IT Engineer, RMIT Business Administration); and Trần Thị Lệ Hằng, a Physical Education teacher at Sapa No. 1 High School. This pair had trained regularly and coordinated seriously, transitioning from tennis to the new sport of pickleball.

Vũ Quỳnh Hương – Nguyễn Thị Lệ Huyền (Gold Medal, Women’s Doubles Pro 46 and above)

The Gold Medal in Women’s Doubles 45+ belonged to the pair Nguyễn Thị Lệ Huyền, Master of Finance and Banking (Banking Academy), and journalist Vũ Quỳnh Hương, Master of Business Administration (HSB Business School) – who is also known as a consultant for the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” program (VTV3). The pair not only played in harmony but also spread the spirit of sporting civility among mature, independent, and strong women.

It can be said that the achievement of the Amakirk team at the National Pickleball Club Championship is not merely a sporting milestone – but also a strong declaration for a new generation of middle-aged office workers: intellectual, disciplined, and unafraid to be physically active.

According to Ms. Nghiêm Ngọc Huyền, representative of the Amakirk paddle brand: “Technically, producing a standard Pickleball paddle suitable for professional athletes who are young, fit, and train extensively is not difficult. The hardest part is producing a paddle for middle-aged, older, and amateur players, ensuring it meets the standards for all levels of play, from basic to advanced, providing a friendly feel, good control, yet still powerful and accurate.”
